Explore Gabon through our bespoke circuits, designed by our team from Libreville. Each itinerary is crafted to reveal what this country has most to offer: forest elephants on Loango's beaches, mandrills and savannas of Lopé, Ivindo falls and gorilla clearings, Atlantic beaches of Pongara where leatherback turtles nest. Whether you travel as a family, couple, or with friends, our circuits adapt to your pace. From a 12-day discovery circuit combining Libreville, Loango and Lopé to a grand 3-week journey including Ivindo or the Batéké Plateaus, you travel with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency based on the ground.
Choose your trip in Gabon
How to choose your circuit in Gabon?
The country's size and the dispersal of parks require you to consider duration first. A stay of less than 10 days limits you to two regions, typically Libreville and Loango. To combine Loango and Lopé, the 8 to 12 days format remains the most coherent: it allows time for transfers by plane or train, and 3 to 4 nights at each site. Travelers wishing to add Ivindo, Pongara or the Batéké Plateaus should look to our 13 to 17 days circuits, which allow you to absorb logistical constraints without breaking up the stages.
Different types of circuits
Gabon lends itself to several approaches. Our cultural circuits include visits to Bantu villages, encounters with Bakoya and Babongo communities, and discovery of bwiti traditions. Adventure circuits target Ivindo, its waterfalls and the Langoué clearing, with forest walks and nights in camp. For travelers with children, our family itineraries favor Pongara, Loango and Lopé, with activities suitable from age 8: canoeing, whale watching, turtle outings on the beaches.
What is the best season?
The main dry season, from June to mid-September, remains the primary window: temperatures of 20 to 28°C, passable tracks, concentrated wildlife. It's also the season for humpback whales off Loango and Mayumba. The short dry season, from mid-December to January, suits a trip centered on beaches and leatherback turtle nesting. The months of February to May and October to November, very rainy, close several tracks and lodges: we do not organize wildlife circuits during these periods.
